What causes homelessness? Take a minute to think about it and try to list five reasons people become homeless.

Job loss, mental illness, drug or alcohol addiction, divorce, domestic violence, medical emergency, natural disaster. Maybe these were some of your answers.

I also read the article and mentioned that above. The point is not that she never made a mistake. The point is that she made some mistakes and also bad things happened to her. Usually, poverty is the result of a combination of the two.

Perhaps you can't empathize because you've never made mistakes?
