Old-fashioned fun on the South Side

On Friday, I had the pleasure of being invited to Dearborn Family Day, a day-long celebration for kids and families at Dearborn Homes on the near South Side.

It's a day for former and current residents of Dearborn to come together, eat, play and celebrate all that's great about their community. There was dancing and eating and laughing - I had a great time.

I put together a little video for you, with tunes from Kool and the Gang. Kool and gang, please don't sue me. I just like your snazzy tunes, and none of the crappy royalty free muzak was good enough once I thought of your song.

Anyway, it was a great day, and I had a lot of fun. It was an honor to be invited and allowed to come to such a cool, inside celebration. I hope to be back again at Dearborn soon.
