According to a few sites, there has been some activity in the Old Town neighborhood. Read on, I'll give you a quick overview...
What's Been Goin' On in Old Town....
At the every helpful site of everyblock 3 crimes have been reported in the Old Town area in the past 24 hours. There was a simple assault on the 1200 block of North Clark street, an armed robbery on the 1300 block of North LaSalle drive, and a theft on the 400 block of West Evergreen avenue.
When the crime is observed over a longer period of time, certain trends become apparent. There appears to be a consistent number of thefts, simple battery, and vandalism popping up amongst other random crimes. None of these repeated crimes are particularly serious, but there seems to be a rash of them in the Old Town neighborhood being reported.
The Chicagoist published an article commenting on a photographer's art show that is taking place in Old Town Thomas Masters Gallery until February 25th. The article is not a rave, per se, but the show could still be worth checking out.
Gaper's Block published an article discussing the history of Old Town, and its more humble beginnings. This article links off to a source created by a group of DePaul students (like us!) which is very exciting!
Earlier this month, Gaper's Block also published an article on an opening of a Tapas restaurant in the Old Town area. Hopefully, this article brought in some hungry customers to Eivissa, which specializes in Spanish cuisine.
That's just a quick lil catch up on what's being looked at in Old Town right now.
