Every bar has an 86 list. This is a list of people who for whatever reason and barred entry to the bar. This usually stays in effect permanently.
This list may not be as officially written down but all bartenders in that location know who is on it.

What get's you on the list? Usual bad behaviors like fighting and beligerent behavior will get you on that list. There is also panhandling, discrespecting customers, purposefully walking out on your tab are other behaviors that will get you there. I have thrown someone out who spent $40 on a taxi getting to Davenport's when he called my fellow bartender the "b" word.
The funny thing with people who end up on the 86 list is that ... they usually want to come back. This baffles me. If I was kicked out of a place, there is nothing that would bring me back.
Here is where you come in as a customer. If a person is bothering you, TELL US. We have a duty to make your experience in our establishment as pleasurable as we can. We can have the person removed (by a bouncer even if you are lucky enough to work at a bar with one of those).
Chances are, you are not the only customer who wants the person to leave.
