Spring is here, we need your help

The crowds at Roof keep me busy four nights a week, however I still pack in a day of bartending each at D4 and Spybar.

It's time for outdoor cocktailing and a perfect time to look for a job. Many positions available in all departments.

Some bars and restaurants have shifts available as soon as RIGHT NOW. This is one of the two best times of year to look for a job. The other being around the holidays.

My advice if you are looking for a job hit the streets, don't even bother with craigslist postings and sifting through help wanted adds. Many venues are not posting help wanted notices on there anymore because of the large amount of reponses they recieve get to be overwhelming and genrally brings in alot of "Riff Raff." Think about places YOU would like to work make a list of 6-7 places and just show up smiling and ready to work. This way you already know it would be a good fit for you because you chose it!

Remember to look presentable, bring a resume with you, and it also helps to attach a photo. I would go to a photo booth and take some candid fun shots. This way you get four or five of them and it shows a light hearted side to your personality. Never hand in a serious faced actors headshot. I HATE THAT.

So check it out, Roof  at the Wit hotel is having a job fair Monday April 12th begining at ten in the morning. Applicants will be taken on a first come first serve basis and some will recieve on the spot interviews.

Many other places with outdoor spaces are looking for help also. Remember that seasonal positions can also turn into year round posiitions. If you prove you are worthy of keeping around come the fall you just might be kept on board in some capacity. So do not be discouraged by the scary word seasonal.

Hi Tony, I am just seeing this, so I clearly missed the job fair. I work full time downtown and am looking for a part time cocktailing position. Are there still available positions at The Wit?
