My pick for best dance party in the city is Berlin's super popular Madonna-Rama night. The first Sunday of every month Berlin plays Madonna music and videos all night long. It's pretty amazing because it seems like the entire club forgot that it was a Sunday.
When you walk in you find people really dancing. The dance boxes don't have hired scantily clad dancers on them with a beefed up guy in a suit and earpiece guarding it. At Berlin anyone can get up on the dance boxes. You might find even up to as many as ten people up there at a time.
There's an incredibly mixed crowd, affordable drinks, and friendly bartenders. DJ Riley York transitions seemlessly from one Madonna remix to the next and keeps people moving. There is no dead moment at Berlin. Be careful because time escapes you, after an hour you feel like you've been there for only five minutes.
