So the garlic, rhubarb, rum and gin thing garnished with a fiddlehead and tulip for Spring thing didn't work out for you? Yeah, there's a reason for that. Mixology is great, but sometimes the ideas that make it onto menus are a ill hatched. I'm all for creativity, but hey, the human tongue is the ultimate judge and weird for the sake of creativity is as cool as tow zones without signs.

So - many times, I am offered a shot. On Saturday, I was offered a shot. The customer asked for two shots of Jameson. When I delivered, I was told that one was for me - I declined. I was running the Shamrock Shuffle Sunday morning.

Bartenders are accustomed to working late nights. St. Patty's day parade day turns into our very own opposite day. Many of us start work early in the morning because have to be prepared for the influx of day drinkers.
