Seriously, it feels like we've been waiting for Kid Sister's debut record forever.

Really, it's only been about a year and a half since "Ultraviolet"--previously called "Koko B. Ware" and "Dream Date"--was supposed to come out. But the local hip-hop artist (born Melisa Young and raised in south suburban Markham) has been set to break out since the quick-spreading 2007 single "Pro Nails" featuring Kanye West. The good news is that most of "Ultraviolet" is better than "Pro Nails," which can be enjoyable but suffers from an irritating chorus.

Anyway, we caught up with Kid Sister recently and have to say, she's an entertaining interview.

What do you think of Kid Sister?
