Last night, We stopped in the first night open at The Terrace, the Trump Tower's new outdoor lounge. Why not play a little numbers game with our first impressions, we thought? Here goes...
2. The number of American Girl dolls spotted, escorted by their under-12 owners.
3. The number of times we cringed when moving our massive metal-legged chair in and out from the bar. Those things are sturdy (and aren't going anywhere on a windy day), but they also make a nails-on-a-chalkboard sound when you pull them against the concrete floor. Eek.
3. The number of plants propped up along the bar to lend a lush, tropical vibe -- and block the gorgeous view. The bargoer next to me had no qualms complaining about it to the bartender. We bet they're gone in a week.
9. How many dollars you'll pay for a bottle of Blue Moon or Heineken. Yeah, you're definitely paying for the view here, but that's hard to swallow, wherever you're sitting.
14. The price of the least expensive glass of wine served: Santo Cristo Za Za 2008, a rose from Campo de Borja, Spain.
16. The elevator button to push to head up to the lounge, which you can find by walking through the lounge area of restaurant Sixteen.
17. How much the menu's half-dozen specialty cocktails will cost you. Except for the Man Over Board, basically the bar's version of a hurricane, which is $23.

After a night of cocktails, you might as well have gotten a room for the night ...
