Do music and hangovers ever go together?

From the unusual press release files: Just a received a note promoting Exception AM, a free digital compilation out June 20 intended to sooth hangovers through downtempo electronic music. (The well-timed press release is, of course, tied to Bradley Cooper and co.'s shenanigans in "The Hangover," which opens Friday.)

Laid-back, cool-out ambient music definitely has a way of helping you get your sooth on. But honestly, does anyone else think that in the midst of a nasty hangover, any music feels like a hammer in your head? If anything makes a good hangover cure--or if not a cure, at least a hangover helper--it's peace and quiet.

Anyway, before your night turns into a hangover you can stop by Ai Lounge from 10 p.m.-3 a.m. June 20 for the free album release party. Liz Revision spins the compilation's tracks, followed by techno and house from DJs Silentcorp, Andrew Kevins, Dirtybird and Droopy.

Is low-key electronic music a sensible hangover cure? Or would you rather wait to groove until after your throbbing headache subsides?
