I am a former NFL player and Super Bowl Champion. I've taken the hard work and knowledge I gained during my athletics career and now use it to help others achieve their fitness and athletic dreams.

"Goals without deadlines are simply dreams"

What are your goals? Are they goals, or are they lofty dreams you hope will happen? What is your plan of attack?

One of my favorites coach quotes is:

Prior
Planning
Prevents
Piss Poor
Performance

Think about it.  No business, game plan, retirement, or wedding was done well without some prior planning. Why would you ever try to lose weight without a plan?

So here is my advice for today:

  1. Set a list of goals.
  2. Ask yourself how you plan to achieve these  goals
  3. Set smaller benchmarks for your goals.
  4. Don't get distracted or discouraged. We all have setbacks and failures, it's how we bounce back that matters.

Here are my goals:

1) Win the Train With Ron Biggest Loser competition.
Benchmarks: eat 5-6 small meals a day, workout twice a day 5 days of the week, lose at least 3 pounds a week.

2) Get lean and stay muscular.
Benchmarks: lift heavy twice a week, interval training cardio 5 days a week, keep bench press over 450 pounds, one or none cheat meals per week.

3)Be 250 pounds by my wedding July 24th, 2010.
Benchmarks: lose average of 8 pounds per month, use www.olinetonormalguy.com to stay motivated, always have healthy meals ready and available to eat.
