Millennium Park Ice Skating Opens Friday
Ice skating on Michigan Avenue is one of the activities that makes Chicago winters not only bearable, but also enjoyable. The McCormick Tribune Ice Rink was scheduled to open today for the season, but they've postponed it until Friday. Skating is free and you can rent skates for $10.
Other city rinks, which are run by the Chicago Park District (Millennium's run by the City of Chicago) will open on November 28. Skating there is also free and skate rental is only $5. You can find a map of them on thelocaltourist.com.
