I am a recent graduate of DePaul University raising the temperature of journalism in Chicago with wit and fury! I won't work for peanuts, but possibly cashews, or frequent flyer miles.

Chicago Breaking News Center is reporting the disappearance of Lincoln Park resident Matthew Goralka, a 17-year-old junior who attends Walter Payton College Prep.

Police described him as 135 pounds and five foot nine inches tall.  He has freckles and hazel eyes with brown hair.   Anyone with information is asked to contact Area Three special victims unit at 312-744-8266

Leaving his family's home during a dispute with his parents, Goralka is on anti-depressant medication and received blood-thinners following treatment at Children's Memorial Hospital Tuesday for a blood clot.  This medication can lead to uncontrolled bleeding so his family have sought police assistance to aide in locating their son.

Matt Goralka's Facebook profile (Walter Payton College Prep '10) depicts a tennis-playing teen who enjoys musicians The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Marilyn Manson, and comedian Dane Cook.

Lincoln Park Now urges any area teens who know of their friend's whereabouts to inform police!

We will follow this story and return with any updates.
