Hey there, Lincoln Park Now readers! We really need to come up with some sort of nickname for our readers...

First up, I found two articles linked on Twitter this afternoon that feature Lincoln Park's most expensive home on the market. The Chicago Jetty post says that this 7-bedroom, 5-bathroom home designed by Howard Van Doren Shaw has 4 fireplaces. It's a 12-unit co-op right next to North Pond.
YoChicago describes it like this: "...views in all directions, parquet floors, limestone countertops, a restored butler's pantry, four wood-burning fireplaces, and 'perfectly proportioned rooms.' The building has a private yard with a basketball court, three storage rooms, an exercise room, and private parking."
Wowza! The property, located at 2450 N. Lakeview Ave., is going for 7.6 million dollars.
Twitter also tipped me off to what might be the best holiday gift idea ever--tickets to a special breakfast with gorillas at the Lincoln Park Zoo. According to this post on the Chicago Animal Examiner, there will be a exclusive breakfast buffet served at the Regenstein Center for African Apes at Lincoln Park Zoo on the morning of January 17.
Associate Curator of Primates Maureen Leahy will be there to share stories, answer questions, and offer guests a private viewing of the apes as they explore their habitats. Tickets cost $75 and should be reserved by January 11.
And finally, I found a Chicago Sun-Times article through EveryBlock that reports on what seems like a pretty gnarly bar fight that happened Wednesday night at Kincade's, 950 W. Armitage.
According to the article Timothy McHugh, 25, of Lake View began punching Blake Johnson for dancing with his girlfriend. In self defense, Johnson struck McHugh with a glass he was holding and cut him on the head. Both men were taken to hospitals to treat minor injuries, and McHugh was charged with misdemeanor battery.
Now, the comment section of the Sun-Times article is evolving into a gnarly fight of its own as McHugh's and Johnson's friends as well as what appear to be eye witnesses rush to describe what really went down.
Keep it classy, Lincoln Park!
