Closing in on the last pre-Holiday weekend, you might be heading out to the Lincoln Park pubs.  Braving the Miller Lite free double decker bus that begins Saturday just might have to happen.   If you're looking to economize further, we've got some specials on hand.  You be the judge.

(and for those of you not going to see New Moon tonight, but still looking for a hip screening):

Gaper's Block dropped the word on what's up at Facet's Cinemateque (1517 W. Fullerton Avenue) this evening:   a $9 ticket can be purchased on Facet's website for the Pitchfork-sponsored premiere of All Tomorrow's Parties, a documentary musical film featuring musical acts:

Battles, Sonic Youth, Belle and Sebastian, Patti Smith, Animal Collective, Grinderman, Iggy and the Stooges, Portishead, Mogwai, Slint, Grizzly Bear, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Gossip, Daniel Johnston and The Boredoms.

Descending on the bar scene?  go Saturday, and get free travel to/from Lincoln Park pubs.   Here's the need-to-know:

This bus is known on the tweet and on the street as "the drunk bus."  Drunk bus is okay.  Drunk driver is not.

The free Miller Lite Bus begin start tomorrow (Saturday, November 20) on a double decker bus, and will continue through December 26, every Saturday between 8 p.m. and midnight. Text "RIDE" to 44636.  The bus will leave the Merchandise Mart area and round through Lincoln Park making stops at the following pubs, (thanks to Red Eye's CTA blogger).

Armitage "L" and Kincade's -- Armitage and Sheffield Avenues

State, McGee's and Kelly's -- Webster Street and Sheffield Avenue

Fullerton "L" -- Fullerton and Sheffield Avenues

Kendall's, Wise Fools and Halligan -- Belden and Lincoln Avenues

Here are some Saturday night specials listed on the bar websites, and reviews from Yelp! in order of popularity.   No worries, other Lincoln Park pubs, there are so many of you, and we will make our rounds over the coming weeks.

I wish that I had read this before I planned my night! I'd much rather be seeing that screening at Facet's than going to Duffy's with my old roommate :/ oh well! Great post like usual, Molly :)
