Serious coffee at Buzz Killer Espresso in Wicker Park

I stumbled across this tiny new coffee shop in Wicker Park, Buzz: Killer Espresso. James Liu is the head barista, a man who acquired a small following while working at Intelligensia for two years.

Buzz is serious about their beaned beverages. For example, they won't serve their espresso in a paper to-go cup. You have to stay and drink it in a ceramic mug, citing the thermal walls that help keeps its flavor properties together. They just want their product to taste as best as possible at all times. And they're not budging, at least for now.

I'll have photos and video of Buzz after the story airs on WGN-TV tonight....
