I just made the donation. Maybe Tribune/Ricketts could launch a "$10 for #10" drive as well...

except I think they would use it for renovations...

Oh, and love the addition of coach to the banner. Maybe put it up there all next baseball season?

I just laughed for about 5 minutes straight after reading this from John McDonough's press conference before tonight's Hawks game.

REPORTER: "Any particular memories stick out as some of your favorite memories of Ron?"

MCDONOUGH: "There was one that happened maybe about four years ago where he called me during the offseason. It was before I came to the Blackhawks. He called me during the offseason and about a minute-and-a-half into the call he asked me if I could hold on. I said 'sure, I can hold on.' And 30 seconds turned into 60 seconds, turned into a minute-and-a-half and I could hear in the background, 'John, John' and it was way in the background. And he finally came back to the phone about a minute-and-a-half later and he had picked up the remote control. He then proceeded to point out to his wife that the remote control looks very similar to the phone."

Just classic Ron Santo right there.

If you are interested in Bladder Cancer and Bladder Cancer Support you might go to the American Bladder Cancer Society web site. It is free and full of good information.

Done and done.

I'll miss your voice during the games, Ron! You lent such excitement and warm to the Cubs broadcasts.
