I'll bet this is how Crazy Uncle Phil looks and feels when he's
hearing his whispers, too.
Phil's first Cubs related whisper involved Spring Training. We're all on pins and needles regarding the Cubs' future Spring Training home, so this is welcome news.
Intrigue! Doesn't it sound a bit like a soap opera? And don't you imagine that soap opera would have someone from the mystery third Native American tribe show up in full faux regalia to do a rain dance or something of the like?
While the Cubs publicly explore spring training options in Mesa, Ariz., and Naples, Fla., a third entity might get into the bidding. At least one Indian tribe in the Phoenix area reportedly is prepared to use casino money to top all offers. ...

Well, I guess this will be the year for Dawson, but as much as I admired him I don't think he was good enough to deserve enshrinement. He was very good for a long time, but his period of greatness was short-lived. Dale Murphy was a similar player and a two-time MVP but I don't think he's getting in the HOF either.
Oh, Jim Rice didn't deserve to get in either, but that good old East Coast bias came through for him.

The Hall of Fame is a joke anyway. That Goose Gossage and Jim Rice got in before Bert Blyleven and Tim Raines is proof enough of that.

And the fact that Raines will likely never get in further proves that point.

I know it's a joke, but I still want my guys to get in. Kind of like sororities in college--yes, they were childish and immature, but that didn't stop me from rushing.

I wonder what the writers reasons are for not voting for Raines? Because if it was about the drugs (cocaine, wasn't it?), why did they have no problem voting in Paul Molitor?

That doesn't seem to be the kind of thing that you could suspend someone without pay for. I'm just guessing that the news team's photo was always on the billboard regardless of what the tweet was. From reading a couple of sites, some people couldn't even figure out what was supposed to be so funny.

They'd better not switch over to the Vikes-Bears game before this one is over. Eagles up by 3, Redskins with the ball with under 2 minutes? Exciting.

Just kidding. Actually really boring.

The Bears are the worst team in NFL history.
Thank jeebus for the Colts.

gd,
I'm beginning to think that you are correct about the Bears.

Question: How is it that Tiger Woods gets away with refusing to talk to the police based on "privacy concerns," while at the same time blogging about the accident?

Good evening from cold SO Cal...
I think it's the TMZ bit about the alleged affair his wife "supposedly" accused him of having-that seems to have sparked Tiger's "not now"! Apparently he and his people suspect there's a leak in the police dept.
