Well, manager Lou Piniella hints the Cubs could become creative and trim down to 11 pitchers, which raises another problem. Although only one position player would have to be moved, two pitchers could go because reliever Angel Guzman returns Monday as well.
"The best of all worlds for us, and I don't know if we can do it, is to get by with 11 pitchers and just have to make one player move," Piniella said. "To me that makes sense because it gives us more parts during the course of a ballgame."
