As the first half of the season winds down, things are suddenly looking a whole lot rosier.
Yes, Mike Fontenot and his .230 BA is still at 2B. Yes, our bullpen is still. . . . a bit untrustworthy. Yes, we just lost Dempster for a month (that one really hurts). Yes, Kevin Hart is back on the team. But all that aside, the Cubs are (relatively healthy) and have won 6 of their last 8 and are only two games back of the evil Southern Beer Team.

Dempster broke his foot celebrating the victory on Sunday? F that. Make him pitch. Make him pitch good.
JulieDiCaro said:
he says it's a pain tolerance issue. so what's the problem? dope him up and send him out there.
Umbra said:
McClouth was out. Good pickoff move, Z.
JulieDiCaro said:

JulieDiCaro said:

Doc said:
But Bob is so witty.
Doc said:

Umbra said:
Soriano has one weakness: curveballs.
Doc said:
honestly, he can't catch up with fastballs right now either.
Doc said:

flyball said:

JulieDiCaro said:

JulieDiCaro said:
i've gone in a skirt and heels before. when you skip out of work, you go in whatever you're wearing.
Doc said:
And someone had better kill me if I go to a game in a skirt and heals.
baturkey said:
Eh, if I was working and got tickets for that night's game I wouldn't go home and change.
Doc said:
And I'll add...
Someone shoot me if I work a job where I have to wear a suit and tie.
baturkey said:
Okay, that I can get behind.
Doc said:
Cards are up 4-0 in the bottom of the 5th...damn brewers.
JulieDiCaro said:
well, either way we pick up ground on someone.
Doc said:
I'd rather it be the Cardinals...I don't consider the Brewers a serious threat.
JulieDiCaro said:
i'm amazed that a professional athlete can break his toe jumping over a tiny little fence. lame.
baturkey said:
The wily Dutchman Jair Jurrgens injured himself walking out of the dugout at Wrigley last year.
Doc said:
That's actually not difficult to do...
Those stairs are all crack and falling apart. The visitor's dugout is quite hazardous.

Doc said:
Baaaah....

I often injury myself while sleeping. I injure others while sleeping as well, according to Jeanna.
flyball said:
I twisted my ankle doing a charity walk, it was kinda embarrasing
JulieDiCaro said:
