Hello, and thanks for finding me here on ChicagoNow.
I was born in Chicago around the same time when man first walked on the moon. Since then, I've done lots of stuff in and around the city, most notably on the air at a few different radio stations. The majority of my radio career has been spent at Q101 (WKQX-FM), from 1993-2000, then from 2006-2007, and again from 2009-present in a part-time capacity. I've also worked at stations like The Zone (WZZN-FM), 93XRT (WXRT), and The Mix (WTMX).
As a writer, I've had my work published by Time Out Chicago, Newcity, Wizard, Askmen.com, and Career World. My first book, Off the Record Collection: Riffs, Rants and Writings About Rock (Haaf-Onion) will be released in Spring, 2011.
I've forgotten pretty much everything I learned in high school and college, sacrificing that brain space for detailed minutia on all things relating to pop culture. I listen to lots of music, read lots of books (with and without pictures), and watch an awful lot of T.V. and movies.
