A series by series breakdown of Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler's play against the Buffalo Bills.

1st Series: Bears run it 3 straight times, even on 3rd and 4. Cutler seems miffed walking off the field after the Bears fail to convert another 3rd down.

2nd Series: Bears get in a 3rd and 7 and Cutler is rushed and throws incomplete. Different play calls are great but when blocking isn't there it doesn't matter what you call.

3rd Series: Bears first 1st down of the game comes on a Cutler 18-yard scramble.
- Cutler got a play action, roll out --what many fans have been screaming for-- and totally misses an open Aromashodu.
- What would a good drive be without a Bears false start penalty? Frank Omiyale gets flagged and 3rd & 7 becomes 3rd & 12.
- On 3rd and goal Cutler hits Olsen for a 4-yard TD. Finishes off a 14-play, 81-yard drive that was over 8 minutes. It's the Bears' 1st 10-play drive for a TD in 2010.

4th Series: Cutler is getting ample time and making plays.
- On 3rd and 7, Cutler scrambles for another 1st down. They keep saying he's underrated as an athlete. Bears fans hear that a lot -- must be in the color commentary scouting report.
- Bears blow another long drive. 10+ plays but no points. Roberto Garza gets two false starts in a row -- making up for lost time? Bears went from 3rd and 3 to 3rd and 13. That's 3 false starts plus an illegal formation.

5th Series:
- Another first down for Cutler on a run.
- Martz is calling a great mix of runs and passes, and it ends with a Chester Taylor 4-yd. run for a TD.

6th Series:
- Cutler evades pressure and finds Hester for a big gain.
- Cutler hits Manumaleuna for just his 2nd catch of the year.
- On 3rd and 10, Bears get a big pass interference call for a first down.
- But Cutler fumbles under pressure and Bills recover for first turnover of the game.

7th Series:
- After Buffalo scores off the turnover, Cutler almost gets picked after throwing a short screen too hard to Olsen.
- 3rd and 8 and Cutler has to throw it away. Good decision making.

8th Series:
- Huge play on 3rd and 10 when Cutler rifles one to Olsen for a 1st down.
- 3rd and goal and Cutler converts in the red zone again with a TD pass to Earl Bennett.
- Nifty shovel pass to Forte for the 2-pt. conversion, Bears go up 22-19.

Cutler finishes the day 17-30 for 188 yards, 2 TDs and no INTs. He also rushes 5 times for 39 yards. His passer rating for the game is 97.6. He gets sacked just once. The Bears rush for over 100 yards. Amazing what a team can do when they run the ball and give the QB time, huh?

It's amazing they barely beat the worst team in the league?
