Cutler's game, series by series...

1st series: Turner calls plays like Orton is still the QB and calls plays like he's still thinking about last week. Bears go 3 & out.

2nd series: Another 3 & out. The lack of quality receivers has shrunk the field considerably. Cutler is 3-4 for all of 8 yards.

3rd series: Bears finally get their first 1st down and 1st reception by a wide receiver. Cutler goes 5-7 on the drive but misses an open Knox on 3rd & 9. Cutler is 8/11 but for only 50 yards.

4th series: Bears start from their own 3 yard line. Cutler hits Knox for 22. 19 passes against only 5 run play= not your daddy's Bears. Bears drive 97 yards and cap it with a TD pass from Cutler to Kellen Davis. They got the benefit of 2 Steelers penalties, but a huge drive like that against one of the game's best defenses is inspiring. TD pass came on 3rd down in the red zone--impressive.

Halftime: Cutler is 14/20 for 112 yards with the TD and no picks. That he's put up those numbers with only 19 rushing yards from the Bears makes it even more impressive. 20 passes against only 6 runs. Wow.
5th series: Cutler almost gets picked on first play of drive. Steelers get serious pressure on Cutler on 1st and 3rd down. 3 & out, their 3rd of the game.

6th series: 2 Bears O-line penalties and a well-played Blitz by the Steelers prevent this drive from going anywhere. Cutler 2-4 on the drive. Not a 3 & out, but not much better. Cutler 16-26 for 134.

7th series: Cutler starts with a nice pass to the flat to Forte. Orlando Pace gets faced. Bears end up in 3rd and long and run the ball. Bears leading receivers are Knox and Kellen Davis.

8th series: Huge 3rd down pass to Hester to keep the drive alive in the pouring rain. Next play a 29-yard pass to Olsen, who is just a trooper. Cutler then hits Davis and Olsen again. Another 3rd down TD pass, this time to Knox. Bears tie it and Cutler looks great avoiding the rush and making plays on the drive. 9 plays, 72 yards for the score.

9th series: 3:18 to go in a tie game. Cutler hits Forte, who gets stripped but Olsen recovers. Next play quick hit to Knox. A Forte run brings it to the two-minute warning. Cutler hits Hester on a huge 3rd down play. Bears then get conservative and get a Gould FG to take the lead. And the Bears win it!

Cutler ends his day 27-38 with 236 yards and 2 TDs.
