Does Cutler Make the Bears Fantasy Studs?

Oh, admit it. You know you want to draft Jay Cutler as your starting QB on your fantasy team. Unless you're from Denver. Then you hope he gets injured. But you're wondering if selecting Cutler is the right move. After all, you do want to win this thing and taunt your friends.

Yahoo's Roto Arcade breaks it down with the "Juggernaut Index", their annual rankings of NFL teams according to fantasy dominance.
The Bears acquisition of Cutler seemingly would put them into the upper echelon of fantasy football. People are expecting some high-powered offense from Cutler & Co. But it's the "Co." that keeps the Bears from making into the top 10. Roto Arcade ranks them 13th in the Juggernaut Index.

It's easy to understand the optimism in Chicago, and the fantasy community is similarly bullish. We're drafting the key members of the Bears' receiving corps well ahead of their year-end finish in 2008 fantasy scoring. Hester is the No. 37 wide receiver off the board in an average Yahoo! league, and Olsen is the No. 6 tight end. Bennett is owned in 41 percent of PLUS leagues, which is fairly impressive for a guy who didn't catch a pass in his rookie season.

But that's the Cutler effect. He would have entered the season as the No. 3 fantasy quarterback on my draft board had he remained in Denver under the Shanahan regime. Due to the new surroundings, he slips temporarily to No. 10 at the position.

It's solid analysis. Cutler, Forte, Olsen and perhaps Hester will drive the offense. The rest of the Bears will determine if this turns into one of the NFL's best offenses, or if they are holding back the superstar QB.

The Hester Experiment needs to come to an end! We finally have a quarterback. We have a better-than-average receiving corps (without Devon). It is time to put Hester back where he is the most effective ... RUNNING BACK KICKS & PUNTS!
