An iPhone case I'd buy

SmartcaseUp until now, I've said that I'm not going to buy an iPhone case, at least not based on what's on the market right now.

I'm closer to changing my mind today.

Check out this site, Waterfield Designs, and click on the iPhone case link. I know from being a past customer that this company makes high-quality products. And if you read the descriptions, one of the cases actually does double duty to clear the smudges off the iPhone's screen.

And if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Thanks for calling.

Nice, but I think this is a better case I got at an ATT store; leather, mesh bottom allows one to hear bottom speakers, and ~$5+ less expensive:

SCOTT'S REPLY: Also nice. My story is I'm very picky when it comes to laptop bags and cases ... perhaps a little more picky that is considered normal.

The one I have for my iPhone is a red inCase that has rubber that protects the side and back of my iPhone; I tend to drop my cellphones a lot and this case is simple to put on and remove and real simple design! I love it!

SCOTT'S REPLY: Thanks for the comment, Bobby C. That's another good brand. There are some good choices out there for sure.

One thing you all should be careful of, though ... there are some reports that some cases are blocking the function of the iPhone's accelerometer ... that's the sensor that allows it to know when to show landscape or regular mode on the screen. It's always best to test the case before you buy, when you can.

I don't know if I post a link in my last post about the red inCase for the iPhone; here it is:

SCOTT'S REPLY: You didn't, but you did now. Here you go, callers.

Thanks for the post. I bought one on your recommendation and I must say that the pictures don't do it justice. This is the most well-constructed case of any kind I've had. I got a nice hand-written note on my receipt thanking me for my purchase too. Im thinking about replacing my flimsy laptop case for one of these now:

SCOTT'S REPLY: I am so glad that you are happy with it. I have two of their laptop cases and I'm blown away every time I use it. I love them that much.
