Producer: JEllis - FULL, CDQ, Track off upcoming mixtape, When In Rome *Tibs Fav.™
Lewis first grabbed our attention with an addicting collaboration with S-Preme called "Lovely" at the top of the month. In what will probably turn out to be more addicting than that is the new solo jam "Again", in large part due to the female sample on the chorus incorporated nicely by producer JEllis. I found myself humming that in silence well after I first pressed play on "Again".
As Lewis says, the song is "based off of the idea of fame from an artist's point of view. The protagonist reflects and summarizes experiences and expresses how fame is like a never ending loop". I couldn't have said it better myself and it's definitely some food for thought to consider while interpreting the verses. Lewis does his thing on both verses, and the second one a little more than the first if I had to compare. "Again" is off the upcoming mixtape, When In Rome, impacting April 1st.
Props on the thematic cover art as well; the presentation on both "Again" and "Lovely" contributes to my desire to listen, and hopefully yours too, so give it a spin above. (So note to upcoming artists: dope, quality cover art matters.)
