Here's a fresh new GWHH-featured track from D1 baller, Julian Mavunga a.k.a. J-Money - #4 for Miami of Ohio in the photo above. When the legit, starting forward is not ballin' (seriously, check out his stats), he is spillin' some deep raps on a really nice track to vibe with: "Show Me The Way" f/ E. Pif. Mavunga laces the smooth, laid-back piano-based production with a reflective tone that is infectious from the start. Speaking of infectious, the chorus from E. Pif, which doesn't have the classic singing vocals you may yearn for on this type of record, still comes correct and creates a dope contrast between Mavunga and E. Pif. If Mavunga's delivery was a bit more smooth and powerful, a record like this could go a long way, but the fact that I want to listen to it more and more speaks to the substance that carries "Show Me The Way" past its minor flaws. It is an inspiring record for those in the struggle (and isn't that everyone of us in some way, shape, or form?) so I suggest you check this one out and see if you can draw inspiration from it as well. And hey, perhaps J-Money could have two future occupations to deal with as he continues to grow..?
Down below lies your usual roundup of new tracks and videos. Consequence liberates a dope snippet featuring Kid Cudi on the hook and Kanye West behind the boards, while QuESt drops the other fav. below - a leftover track off his upcoming mixtape to be released tomorrow (or later today, technically). Also peep some new Curren$y, Sir Michael Rocks, and Tabi Bonney (shouts 2 DDot), and some Freeway/Statik Selektah to conclude the mp3s. Videos star Chicago rapper Pennjamin Bannekar in his new music video for "Illwrite". I'm not that high on the song, but the video is a classy, well-produced trip in the Chicago winter from beginning to end. Other names featured in the moving visuals include: Aloe Blacc, Big Boi, Trey Songz, and Melanie Fiona so browse it all and enjoy!
