Nikki Lynette is here with a brand new video for a song off her Roses N' Guns mixtape "Civil War". The Pugs Atomz-directed flick may not be the popular choice for a video simply because "Civil War" is more of a somber, social commentary record as opposed to a poppy mainstream single. But nevertheless, I love the bold choice because the visuals combined with the already powerful messages are even more influential in changing culture. Lynette shares her views on the war with her words and drives it home even more with a series of, sometimes graphic, images. The excellent editing, color scheme, and of course the audio create the perfect mood for "Civil War". Props to Nikki for showcasing her artistry and views in what some may view as a risky move; I view it as a great move. Enjoy!
