Martin Beamon 'One Day' leads new music update

Martin Beamon is a new Midwest rapper who appears on our radar with his new joint called "One Day". Beamon definitely has that Midwest sound and delivery, even possessing a voice that reminds me of Naledge. To top things off, The Misfit produces a dope mix of hip hop and soul as an addicting backdrop for Beamon to express his frustrations over the problems and miscommunications in a new relationship. The end result is a nice track to bob your head with and a story that we may be able to draw parallels from as well. Martin Beamon's debut mixtape, January's First is coming soon and we'll definitely be on the lookout for what this new Midwest representer has to offer (shouts 2 Rhymestyle).

Down below, more up and comers grace the new music update as J. Nolan delivers a very solid hip hop record called "Preparation" over a well-produced, piano-defined rap beat. He pays homage to those legends that came before him and his flow is fun to follow as well. Pop fans can check out fast-rising artist Gavin's summer single "Summer In Love" before some big names like Fat Joe and Keri Hilson round out the downloads. Videos include a couple Chicago rappers - Rockie Fresh performing the upcoming song "So Gone" live and Griffen showcasing his new iPhone app. Also included: N*E*R*D on Kimmel, a new Big Sean webisode, and Ne-Yo choppin' it up at Big Boy's Neighborhood.
