T.I. is back with his second single release off King Uncaged in as many days; this time recruiting Keri Hilson and Polow Da Don DJ Toomp (according to Grand Hustle) for a more pop-friendly song called "Got Your Back". All the elements are here for this one to blow up with the masses: a catchy, repetitive hook from Keri Hilson, a poppy, feel-good production, and some memorable messages from T.I. The concept is pretty relatable also as T.I. and Keri rap and sing about getting each other's back in a relationship. T.I. even hits a few high notes himself in a melodic bridge that is one of the track's highlights, along with some crafty alliteration in the first verse. All that said, the record falls a little bit short for me overall, although it is a solid, feel-good summer joint that I would ride with when it pops up on the radio. Download above (here's the CLEAN) and judge for yourself. F*ck A Mixtape still slated for release later today!

Peep more big names below as Ne-Yo's first single off his upcoming album, Libra Scale, continues a plentiful new music update. "Beautiful Monster" has an upbeat, Euro-pop sound from super producers StarGate that defines the record. It's definitely a catchy one that could make its way into my rotation; it all depends on if I can get used to Ne-Yo's emphasis on the word 'monster'. Feels a lil' awk. to me. Other notable favs include Travie McCoy's latest album cut that also features Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland (#PleasantSurprise) as well as a Royce Da 5'9" collab with fellow Detroit emcee Big Sean (shouts 2 2db).

Also below lies a trio of videos - Luda & Trey's premiere for "Sex Room", a preview of Lil' Wayne's "Da Da Da" and Nas & Damian Marley on Jimmy Kimmel. Now, Luda's been sayin' the "Sex Room" video was absolutely crazy (or something to that effect) and for me, I guess it didn't live up to the hype. It was solid, well-produced, and has a slight twist on the concept given the beginning and humorous end skits, but overall it was just aite. The song is growing on me though after we had seen them perform it live out here in Chicago the other day for Fantabuloso (recap coming..!). Watch it below and see for yourself. Enjoy!
