Interesting. The e-mail blast states that the above single from DMX "Put 'Em Up" is the new single off his upcoming, self-titled album due out 02.23.10. I'm skeptical about that release date since there's no buzz and it's less than a month away. But nevertheless, the single itself is actually pretty good. The pain and passion in DMX is still there, which benefits from a mixt of rock elements and piano in the production. For those who have ridden with X this whole time, I think you'll enjoy "Put 'Em Up". After all, it is similar to what has worked for him in the past.
Down below, the new music continues as Wale gives us all a reason to sit through the annoying beat behind the hit "O Let's Do It". His freestyle game is on point - as references to sports and wrestling only make me appreciate them even more. Cypress Hill releases a new track off their upcoming album, Rise Up, and Crooked I & Tech N9ne are among the names of the mega-collabo "2010 Wake Up Show Anthem" (shouts 2 NR). For the record, I wish these mega-collabos wouldn't exist. It's just too many rappers; no more than 4 please! Finally, Ryan Leslie rounds out the audio with an odd collabo featuring Kevin Black?! It's not close to what R-Les is capable of and quite frankly, the song's content is pretty garbage.
Aside from the audio, there's a batch of videos where I turn in my late pass on the first 2. Legendary Chicago MC, Juice, talks with RH TV and Kid Cudi's "Cudderisback" is featured in an unofficial, comical video. A trio of videos rounds things out featuring up and comers XV, Asher Roth, and Cymarshall Law. Enjoy!
