This Devo Springsteen production was a leftover track from Common's Finding Forever, but ended up goin' on Cassidy's B.A.R.S. album from 2007. Nevertheless, "Strange Fruit" has surfaced today (shouts to Marty) and Common definitely does his thing on the verses. My favorite part was how he punctuated the end of the first verse with the bars,
"The hurricanes and waves, they came ashore,Keep in mind this was written and recorded on the heels of Hurricane Katrina. Definitely a nice track to have on a Thanksgiving that is full of downloadable goodies already (cough, scroll for Lupe's new mixtape, cough).
