The Cool Kids premiere new video for "Knocked Down"

Quick-hit update before I hit the hay. The Cool Kids lead things off with the video premiere of "Knocked Down" off their previously released mixtape, Gone Fishing. It was actually premiered a week ago (shouts 2 illRoots who awakened the blogosphere) and the video reminds me of some classic old school hip hop videos.  After all, The Cool Kids have a hint of old school visuals in them - namely Chuck Inglish's fashionable odes 2 mid-90s athletic gear. That Charlotte Hornets hat is tight.. and maybe it's a stretch but Chuck Inglish kind of looks like a cross between the team's two identifiable players of the time - Alonzo Mourning and Kelly Tripucka Larry Johnson. At least a darker 'Zo. Nevertheless, the somewhat basic video doesn't need any special effects 2 be an enjoyable one. Check it out above.

Down below, a handful of tracks concludes the day as Wale's bonus track off the Attention Deficit album, which I don't have yet because Target didn't have it in stock, let alone have a slot for it (say it with me... S-M-H)... *deep breath* deserves your attention as his conscious analysis about society's obsession with celebrities is conveyed through clever juxtapositions between things like 'B's wedding ring' and Christina Milian's hair 2 real world issues that President Obama faces concurrently. Couple all that with another thematic, monumental J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League production and you have a MUST-DL that somehow didn't make the actual album.

Finally, Freeway, Beanie Sigel, and Jakk Frost deliver the other hip hop track followed by a trio of R&B tracks featuring Jeremih, Mariah Carey, and The-Dream. I was diggin' Jeremih's Lake Shore Drive reference in the beginning of "Slow Love Divine" but the autotune and rapping, 2 things Jeremih doesn't need 2 mess with, clutter the record. Anywho... Enjoy!
