S-Preme's The Sicktape: Volume Two is finally here, and it is a
visionary gem for
the people. I pride myself in seeing truth, and this mixtape
personifies it; mark my words it will go down in history as a classic
equivalent
to something like Nas' Illmatic. Holding true to our exclusive interview, the mixtape holds a very cohesive concept that surrounds the character of S-Preme.
The concept begins from working hard and aspiring to become the best, to then becoming the best and experiencing fame's double edge sword of good and evil. Examining this duality thrusts S-Preme and ourselves down personal alchemical transformation. In this mixtape you get through 6 of the 7 steps to personal transformation or what S-Preme described as "seeing the truth in yourself" as the twist by the end.
ST2 doesn't only deserve acclaim for its cinematic storytelling, but also because it's more like an album than a mixtape with only two non-original beats, coincidentally 2 Drake records that were used for "Glass Ceiling" and "Still Fly". S-Preme used his golden ear to gather some of the best beats from some of the best underground producers today. Features include Mr. Music, Krewella, Amanda Diva, and Esso. And the production was off the board too with established talent like Soundtrakk (Lupe Fiasco's in-house producer), Charles Hamilton, Mr. Music, Blublockr of Krewella, Woody's Produce and a host more. The overall experience was fantastic as each song evoked a unique existential mood. The journey through these different experiences is what made me really feel the transformation in my chest. To truly give it justice, I'm going to provide a track-by-track commentary review from beginning to end on the genius behind the Sicktape Volume Two later in the day. Follow @spreme and let him know what you think of the #sicktape2! Whatever you do though, put a mask on because you might get sick! Enjoy!

Coming from the man who listened to each track over and over again for engineering purposes, you'd think I'd be tired of this mixtape....guess again! The ST2 really is amazing!! It definitely is a must download, and it will stay in your cd deck or ipod for a whiiiilleee. And I'm just speaking from a fan's perspective at this point. Holla @mrmusicsound

Mr. Music's comment is on point - not only is it worth the download, you'll be bumpin' this for weeks after your 1st listen. Preme really raises the bar for everyone on this one and from top to bottom, it's my favorite mixtape of the year.
It also warrants mentioning: out of all the sponsorship opportunities that we have received, S-Preme's The Sicktape: Volume Two is the FIRST we have gone ahead and co-signed.

Yes indeed this mixtape will have longevity in my life. Thanks for this gift of influence, and thank Mr. Music for putting his signature sound on it in mixing the whole thing. It's a specific polished sound that Music is pro at. But you should be able to figure that out if you download the sicktape2. It's a beast of a tape, the sickening of Preme...
