NBC, on Thursday nights, are home to a couple of my favorite comedies - longtime Thursday mainstay, The Office, and the new series Community. So, in an effort to perhaps brighten your day and to definitely share some hilarious videos, take a look at how the series has recently incorporated some hip hop flavor.
First, courtesy of J.D. (Hip Hop Update founder/fellow Office enthusiast), we have a brand new promo music video featuring some of the sub-characters of The Office - Kelly, Erin, Andrew Bernard ('Nard Dawg), and Ryan Howard (Mr. Understood). The ladies liken their style to Lady Gaga while the fellas steal the show with cameos at the end. Ryan Howard, played by B.J. Novak, had some ridiculous lyrics especially at the end of his rap, that had me in tears of laughter.
Secondly, Community's second episode contained a hilarious end credit scene featuring Abed and Troy beat boxing and hilariously rapping in Spanish. In just 42 seconds, the duo had us (myself, Vinny Chase, and Double Dz - shout out!) pressing rewind numerous times upon first viewing. And today, I still can't stop laughing. I highly suggest watching these shows if you aren't already. Community airs at 7 and The Office at 8 (all central). Parks & Rec is at 7:30 and only worth watching if you have a huge crush on Rashida Jones *guilty* and 30 Rock is at 8:30.. which I think is absolutely overrated, although not a bad show. Enjoy!
