Idle Warship leads off new music post with 'Party Robot' mixtape

user-pic

Wanted to give this mixtape a full feature as Idle Warship releases its first full length project, Party Robot, presented by Mick Boogie. The dynamic of the group is pretty powerful as together they can do it all - rap, sing, rap and sing - and they all contrast very naturally together as well. The musical side of the mixtape takes more of a unique turn for the better compared to some of their earlier material. Make sure to DL the entire tape above with either the cover above OR the alternate robot cover pictured here (shouts 2 Tunji).

The rest of the post is all videos - a large and relevant batch that depicts some of today's biggest and rising stars. Melanie Fiona leads things off with the latest installment of a series that I have come to anticipate - the Subway Series. The Subway Series is a viral collaboration series where Melanie Fiona sings songs off her debut album, The Bridge, with talented street artists in each city and culture. "It Kills Me", starting about halfway in the video, is fantastic. Make sure to tune in early at 6:30 on TNT for Melanie Fiona singing the National Anthem at the NBA's tip-off game between the Cavs and the Celtics! Quick tangent: Spurs over Celtics in the 2010 Finals.

More videos below include Eminem articulating the cool features of DJ Hero: Renegade Edition, which is in stores today. I very badly wanna play that game! Be sure to check out Kyra Kyles' article on DJing where she mentions DJ Hero and talks in-depth with none other than DJ Timbuck2. Great read. AND be sure to also check out some live videos of Estelle and Brother Ali, The Game speaking on the name change and The R.E.D. Album, and a couple video premieres from Tech N9ne and Chris Brown (actually a pretty really good video for a song I didn't really like... bonus pts for Wayne reppin' DA BULLS!). Enjoy!
