The Gold Coast is home to some of the most glamorous restaurants in the city, but not everyone wants to pay glamorous prices.

Whether it's a black tie affair or just some Valentine dessert, the Gold Coast has many diverse options for all levels of Valentine's Day enthusiasts. 

Party like philanthropy is going out of style. 

-Luxbar is hosting the Heartbreakers Ball, which is a benefit fundraiser for the Children's Heart Association.  Singles and couples are welcome to a night of dancing to an all female DJ lineup, raffles, red velvet cupcakes and free cover charge.  Saturday, February 12th from 10pm to 2am.  More Info.  

-Not into the typical lovey-dovey Valentines Day , but way into giving? Join Gold Coast Bentley as they throw a Masquerade Ball, which benefits New Hope Center who provides services to individuals with developmental disabilities.  The event boasts no Valentine's Day affiliation, but why not make it a romantic night of giving.  Tickets run from $45-$55.  Thursday, February 11th from 7 to 10pm.  More Info. 

Enjoyment for the Epicurean

-Le Colonial, located on the corner of Rush and Walton, is hosting their annual Valentine's Dinner, which includes crisp beignets stuffed with shrimp, barbecued over angel hair pasta and grilled trout accompanied with curry sauce.  $50 per person.  More Info. 

- Valentines Day at CafĂ© des Architectes is complete with a four-course meal featuring Main lobster salad, prime beef short rib, a rack of lamb and chocolate truffle cake. (Elastic waistbands recommended). 20 E. Chestnut.  $75.  More Info. 

Unconventional Sweethearts (You don't have to have a significant other to enjoy these tasty ideas)

-Pizano's Pizza offers a heart-shaped pizza in honor of Valentine's Day.  Order for pick up or carryout.  Prices vary according to size: $12.50-$18.50.  This inexpensive and festive dinner would be perfect with a movie and a bunch of friends--or a special someone.  864 N. -Enjoy a variety of deserts from The Goddess and Grocer.  Whether it's after dinner or a Valentine's Day snack mid-afternoon, The Goddess has many treats from traditional chocolate cupcakes to key lime or pecan bars.  Prices vary.  25 East Delaware Place.  Open everyday from 8am to 9pm.  More Info.

-More Cupcakes? Yes, please.  More's signature cupcake is made with "dark, valrhona chocolate cake, laden with an ethereal cream, and topped with a pristine chocolate ganache," according to their website.  Visit the store to try one-of-a-kind flavors embodied into a hand held cake.  Prices and Store hours vary. 1 East Delaware Place.
