Party State Chair Phil Huckberry spoke about efforts by the Green Party to get Governor Quinn to veto the "Incumbents Protection Act," House Bill 723.  That Bill would essentially eliminate slating of candidates in which no candidate ran in the primary.  Incumbents voted overwhelmingly for the Bill because they don't want any competition in the General Election.
