The other mouth that roared

I know my stuff. 36 years in broadcasting. Sox Cubs Bears Bulls Hawks. You ask, I'll answer

He's the most refreshing mouth in town. Not Ozzie Guillen; he has to freshen up his act. No, I'm talking Joakim Noah who in one entertaining session flattened the city of Cleveland and the image of Kevin Garnett.

This is exactly what the Bulls need since they won't see Garnett and Boston again this season after getting flattened by King James and his Clevelanders.

The effusive Mr. Noah said of the city that resides by Lake Erie; "I don't know about Cleveland man, there is nothing going on." How often has he spent more than one night it in Cleveland?  Why, there's the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and........Noah didn't stop there. "It's bad man." I've been to Cleveland. I covered the White Sox final three games in the old Municipal stadium in 1993 prior to their playoff series with Toronto. I was in Toronto, too and may I say, "Cleveland, You're no Toronto!  I was also in Cleveland for the final three games of the 2005 season when the White Sox dashed the Indians' playoff hopes by sweeping the series. The weather was nice. So was the hotel. But that was it. Noah apparently has a pretty good game on and off the floor.

Give the Bulls' center this; he's honest. And he didn't mince words when it came to Garnett who was suspended for the Celtics' next playoff game after a rather ill advised-temper driven elbow to the face of Miami's Quentin Richardson.  "I'm going to say it: He's a dirty Player." Done! Noah said it. "He's always been swinging his elbows, man. I'm hurting right now because of an elbow he threw. It's unbelievable. He's a dirty player." There, he said it twice! "It's one thing to be competitive and compete. But don't be a dirty player man. He's a dirty player." Make that three times! At least Noah didn't dredge up every four letter word the way Ozzie does.

Score two for Jo!

Of course, I wouldn't want to be Noah in some dark Cleveland alley with Garnett and his posse waiting.
