We all knew the Bears were mediocre at best but another Cincinnati?

It was close. Just because Bears came back to life for a few minutes, doesn't mean we already know what's going on here.

This team is dead. They're worse than last year and they have Jay Cutler!

They also have Lovie Smith who took enough heat last week to warm a freezer.

This is Lovie's defense. He told Bob Babich I'm taking over. Maybe Babich should organize a palace coup.  Arizona scored on so many possessions I thought for sure they would score on one of the Bears'. It had the worst rushing offense in the league; Just 65 yards per game.
 
The Cardinals had 118 in the first half alone.

Kurt Warner threw touchdown passes on the Cardinals first four possessions.

This would have been a good time to release Tommie Harris from the locker room prison and point him in the direction of Warner.

Sometimes, ineptitude is funny. This time it wasn't. It's sad, really.  Sad the Bears invested so much in their first real quarterback in decades while not realizing the team behind him needs to be re-hauled. Sad it thought its core of receivers would be good enough for Cutler. Sad it thought its newest investments on the offensive line would be good enough to protect Cutler. Sad it thought it had enough depth at linebacker to cover the losses of Urlacher and Tinoisoma. Sad it thought the cover 2 could cover anything.

Sad, very sad.
