It's time. Everyone knows it. Everyone has seen it.
It's time for a complete house cleaning at Halas hall.
Not just lovie and not just Turner.
Everyone. The entire lot. Top to bottom.
The McCaskey's must understand this and they must embrace it.
They have to swallow some of their pride and profits and make the moves.
Yesterday had to crystalize it. The bottom has been reached unless the Bears lose to the Rams.
That means a complete purge. Angelo, his head coach, the rest of the coaching staff and many if not all their scouts must be shown the door.
The Bears must be reduced to an expansion team rebuilding around a shaky quarterback.
They must find the right men to bring a storied franchise back to life.
Mike Holmgren wants to be in the front office. Bill Cowher wants to coach. So does Mike Shanahan.
Make the requisite calls. Don't wait. Others will be seeking their services only you are the Chicago Bears, not the Buffalo Bills or Cleveland Browns.
To go another season with any of the current staff would be a huge mistake. Not that the legion of angry and disgruntled fans will give up their seats. The McCaskey's are assured they won't have to join so many others in the bread lines.
Firing Lovie Smith won't address the myriad problems facing the Bears.
It must be all. If not, the Bears could turn into the Lions. They're certainly well on their way.
