If you guess as many winners as I do - or tie if I sweep - you will be entered into a

to get your collection of tweetup buttons started off right!)
He's the son of a Hollywood legend and the Academy loves to recognize its own. While I'd love to see this one go to Jeremy Renner, my gut tells me it's going to Bridges.
By far the most compelling character in Inglorious Basterds, Christoph Watz's Hans Landa AKA 'The Jew Hunter' has to be one of the most complex and compelling characters in modern cinema. Personally, I believe it was writing this particular character that made QTs creation of this film so arduous for the filmmaker.
Like Charlize Thieron did in MONSTER, Mo'Nique underwent a startling transformation that revealed a depth of talent that took many people by surprise. What she did was the very essence of acting. Oh yeah, and after seeing her Golden Globe win, this has the makings of one of those all-time great Oscar acceptance speeches!
Don't know why I'm picking her. Just got this feeling...
He took a book that few could expect could make the transistion to the silver screen and laid the groundwork for some of the most heart-breaking performances in film.
With what must be his best screenplay since Pulp Fiction, QT will finally get to take home another Oscar.
Who woulda thunk that the woman who gave us "Point Break" - a movie so deservedly satired in Simon Pegg's HOT FUZZ - could give us such a smart, compelling, action film? Suck on it Cameron!
Uh, yeah. I don't see anyone beating this one. Do you? Pixar Studios are gonna need a new wing just to hold the Oscars they keep winning!
This film went from dark horse to front-runner rather surprisingly. All the pre-Oscar award trends are ponting towards this flick about a military bomb-squad winning the award, but some negative campaigning by one of its producers may have cost it some votes.
Best Actor - Jeff Bridges (Crazy Heart)
He's the son of a Hollywood legend and the Academy loves to recognize its own. While I'd love to see this one go to Jeremy Renner, my gut tells me it's going to Bridges.
So there you have it! If you wanna take a crack at outguessing me, you have until the beginning of the Academy Awards ceremonies to e-mail me your picks! I'll be looking at the dates/timestamps of the e-mails, so no cheating! ;) One entry per person please. After the Oscars are over, I'll go through the entries, see who beat/tied me, and enter all the names into a random drawing for the button. (Perhaps I'll also go into my bag o' geekdom and send something else nerdy along too! We'll see.) I will contact the winner by e-mail to get a mailing address.
Sound like fun? Oh, and please be sure to comment below on the other Oscar categories too! Tell us who you think should win and why.
