I'm the resident RedEye geek with an eye towards all things geek and nerd-related; comics, video games, RPG's and the latest nerd tech!

Batman has the Joker.  Spider-man has the Green Goblin.  Sherlock Holmes has Professor Moriarty.

And I've got Stephen Markley.

Markley & Me in a typical social setting.

Ever since we went head-to-head for the affections of Accidentally Sexy's Ana Fernatt, our fates have been seemingly intertwined.  The socially awkward geek versus the super-confident rogue.  I'm Luke Skywalker from A New Hope while he's Han Solo from any of the movies, take your pick.

I'm a comic book writer while he writes - ahem - books.  Now, I'm pretty sure that this book is filled with all matter of photos, probably things that Markley thought would fill some space and up his page count.  I mean, he's already covered friends who refuse to masturbate and his anguish over not being able to dunk a basketball, so I really don't know what else he has left to cover.

Of course, I'm just kidding.  Stephen is a really funny guy and his publisher has a pretty unique marketing strategy.  Which made me think, "how can I ride the guy's coat tails?"

Luckily for me, the answer just presented itself...

At the last tweetup, Markley mentioned that he was tired of folks asking him why every time you looked up his book on Amazon.com people also saw mine:

A match made in internet hell...

A funny case of search-engine mathematics have joined us in the digital realm, making us as likely a pair as bacon and fudge.

Chocolate covered bacon? Mmmmmmmmm...

So yeah, if you decide to pick up Markley's book, make sure you keep our dysfunctional duo together and buy mine too!

The most awesome part about this entire post is that Markley DESPISES the kindle, and the kindle is right up there when you search for his book. I think it's fate!
