C2E2 Organizers to meet Comic-Book fans in Chicago!

There's been some pretty good buzz surrounding the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2) that's coming to our fair city in April.  A lot of that has to do with the reputation that the organizers have with putting together a similar show in New York City.  Also, they've been good at schmoozing the local comic retailers and getting the word out to Chicago's fanboy/fangirl population.

Case in point: representatives of C2E2 will be at Challengers Comics + Conversation on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 from 4-6 pm to meet comic-book fans, rub elbows and presumably answer questions about the show.  There will also be prizes to be had in a number of give-aways!

This is a show that I really want to get psyched about.  Over the last couple years, the Wizard World con - now dubbed Chicago Comic-Con - has really lost its luster.  This past summer, the show lost out big time to the San Diego Con when none of the major comic-book publishers were present with their convention booths, leaving a gaping hole in the event.

So far, the folks of C2E2 have been slowly building the anticipation without hyping the event too much.  I'm curious to see what they've got to share, besides all the cool swag!

This is looking like a really great show! Last year's Wizard World was, um, lacking. Not nearly as good as it's been in the past. So, fingers are crossed!
