Courtesy of Marvel.com:

Folks who have been reading Captain America for the last year or two know about the subplot of Sharon Carter (AKA Agent 13) and her involvement with the 'assassination' of Steve Rogers, the original Captain America.  Writer Ed Brubaker has dropped subtle hints about what really happened that fateful day on those court house steps and now it appears that he's going to reveal the 'truth' behind the 'death' of Captain America.

Here's the problem, though.  Ever since James 'Bucky' Barnes took over the role as Captain America last year, he's developed a very loyal fan base.  Many current Cap readers have voiced their displeasure over Rogers' proposed return, vowing to drop the book if he does.  (Even a noted pop-culture scholar prefers Bucky over Steve.)

So what fate lies ahead for our good Captain?  To be continued...
