Svengoolie: Geek or Nerd?

user-pic

Posted at 10:15 a.m. - Tuesday, December 30

In advance of my feature on Svengoolie tomorrow, I'm posting this video that we took on the 'svet' of Rich Koz' alter-ego's program:

For those who are unfamiliar with the GNAT (Geek Nerd Analysis Test) that ran in the RedEye a while back, here's a link to it and what the final categories are.

And yes, I do realize that I screwed up and didn't add up the A's and B's correctly.  (You can even see by the look on Sven's face that he realizes I've goofed, but is too nice to correct me.)

Check back later this week for another video where we take a look at Sven's coffin and I throw an idea out to Sven involving the Chicago artistic community that can make television history!

As a former long time resident of Berwyn, I have to say YAY for SoS!!!

Actually, he goes by Svengoolie now since Jerry G. Bishop, the original Sven, gave him permission to use the name.

Nonetheless, YAY indeed!

I can't "do do" simple math either.

Awww, I was hoping he would have been a nerd (I had a clean sweep of B's). Despite the incorporation of the Abbott and Costello movies into his stable (those are painful to have to sit through -- especially without any Sven-surround), Sven remains one of my life-long heroes!

And if you see him again, tell him that my 4-year-old daughter wants to see Durwood more often (everyone's a critic!).

Ugh. Chalk that up to the post-production gremlins that sneak up on you and give your video editing program a little tweak.

D'oh, indeed!
