There is never a time that the loss of life seems an acceptable thing and in the case of the McClendons I must add that it is a loss felt with much confusion by those that knew them. To have known them, as I had the pleasure, was to be pulled into the irresistible tug to LOVE them.
I say again, the loss of life of one you have known & loved is a difficult thing to accept but the loss of a beautiful life (and in this case "lives") that you have beheld is impossible to settle in one's mind.
Garrard, I know you have asked yourself "why me, Lord", because you are trying to understand why your parents, and I would ask myself the same thing. But, we know God works in His ways -- to make you work for His way. In other words, ask God what does He want you to do now? You have been anointed to be spoken. Speak to your heart and listen for God. He will comfort you from within (your soul), give you peace, and wisdom. Wisdom will help you understand and know what does He want you to do now. I pray for you, your family, and for whoever did this to repent and give themselves up. Be encouraged God is the strength you and your family needs. LOL and prayers.. God speed!
