After a bit of a delay, Chicagoland's newest arcade/video gaming facility opened up in Downer's Grove last weekend.
Game Pazzo, located at 2011 63rd St. in Downers Grove, IL. claims a
13,000 sq. ft. location that combines a gaming retailer size with state-of-the-art HD jumbo screen TVs, video
gaming pods, vibrating gaming chairs, sofas, headsets and sound systems
at each of the 30 gaming stations. There's also a food and beverage and a private party room. The
gaming retail section that offers new gaming merchandise, accessories, new and used video games, gaming consoles and hardware.
"During economic downturns, people tend to look towards entertainment to help cope," said Gene Esposito, co-founder of Game Pazzo. "We feel we're offering people a new, inexpensive form of social entertainment."

and oversized speakers designed to give gamers the feel and look of performing on a real rock stage.
Co-founder Esposito spent 25 years in the technology and consulting services industry and is currently president of Espo Corporation - one of Chicago's oldest and most established contract consulting companies. A gamer himself, as well as a father of teenagers, Esposito said he saw the opportunity to offer casual and hardcore gamers a social environment to practice, play, compete, and showcase their gaming skills.

In addition, Game Pazzo will use its website and social networking tools to collaborate with its customers to coordinate gaming leagues, private parties and corporate events and tournaments. For example, gamers have the ability to schedule times and dates of "Halo," "Madden Football," and "Rock Band" leagues and tournaments.
"We want our customers to provide input to the development of the gaming activities," Esposito said. "This facility is for them. To expand our competitive gaming options for our members beyond Game Pazzo, we will leverage Microsoft's Xbox LIVE platform to allow our members to compete with other gaming facilities on a local, national, and international basis."
