NBA 2K11 High On Barack Obama, Low On Derrick Rose, Noah
Barack Obama has been getting low approval ratings lately, but he's a
star in the video game world. He's making a virtual appearance in NBA
2K11. After winning the championship, the winning NBA team makes an
appearance at the Oval Office, to get a meet and greet with the
basketball obsessed president. It's the second video game appearance
this year for Obama, who also was in Madden '11 for similar
post-championship ceremonial duties.
2KSports' might have given props to the Chicago-native Obama but they
didn't do any favors to another Chicagoan - Derrick Rose.
According to player ratings released by Operation Sports, Derrick Rose got an 85. Not bad for the Bulls' superstar, but take into account that Jazz point guard Deron Williams got a 92 and Joe Johnson of the Hawks got an 88. The highest rankings went to two out of the three Miami Heat stars. LeBron and Wade both racked up a 97 rating. Kobe Bryant also was awarded a 97.
