Jewel-Osco Deals Week of Oct. 21

The first thing I want to note in the Jewel-Osco flyer is that there are price changes in here on items included in the ConAgra Catalina deal. If your Jewel tends to get prices up ahead of time, like mine does, this could affect your deal, for better or for worse.
For instance, Betty Crocker fruit snacks, which were $2 card price, will now be $1.67. The store I visited this morning still had the old price, so I couldn't check to see what the new pre-card price was. If it's still $2.50, you can do a little better buying these now, since the card price is lower. But I would bet that once the card price changes, there will be a new pre-card price too, and if it's lower, it'll throw your scenarios all out of whack. So watch the register you ring these babies up today!

(Green Giant Steamers are also advertised for $2 this week; not sure what they were before.)
Now, for all this week's sales and deals at Jewel-Osco.

Continue to see this week's sales, BOGO deals and other special offers.

fresh split chicken breasts 99 cents/lb.
California crimson grapes 99 cents/lb.
Arm & Hammer detergent 55-68.75 oz. $2.88 (use $2/3 from 9/19 SmartSource)

Campbell's Chicken Noodle or tomato soup 44 cents (use the $1.50/3 Great for Cooking soups if you printed it when available; tomato counts as cooking)

5 lb. Value Wise russet potatoes $1.28

Culinary Circle pizza $3.99

Pepsi 12-packs and bottle packs 4/$10, must buy 4

Fresh Express garden salad bag 12 oz. $1 (there are $.75/1 tearpad coupons out there somewhere)

Fruit2Day Singles 6.75 oz. (a little bottle of cut-up fruit) $1 (use this $.75/1 printable, or if you have some booklet called Optimum Wellness it has a $1/1 coupon that would make it free. Anyone know the source of that booklet?)

Ocean Eclipse 4 oz. fish portions $1 (this includes wild-caught salmon, making it $4/lb. which is a good deal. If you can find this product in your store.)

Wild Harvest organic carrots $1.99/2 lb. bag

organic head lettuce $2.49

Kleenex 78-110-ct. tissues $1 (use $.50/3 from the 10/3 SmartSource or printable; there is a Catalina deal coming on these 11/1)

Homelife cone coffee filters 40-pack $1

Phil's Fresh cage-free eggs dozen $2.69 (haven't seen cage-free eggs on sale for awhile!)

Chef Boyardee cans or microwave cups ($1.25/5 10/17 SmartSource), Manwich ($1/3, August All You), Hunt's spaghetti sauce, Hunt's ketchup, Gulden's mustard, Hunt's tomatoes ($1/3, 10/10 SmartSource), Banquest dinners and pot pies, Hunt's Snack Pack pudding cups, Act II popcorn, Crunch n Munch.

If you missed the last ConAgra Catalina deal, you might need some of this stuff. It's cheaper than the usual $1 sale price. We are fresh out of ketchup, and I am hoping that the store is now carrying the Hunt's without corn syrup, since ConAgra announced they were going to make that switch awhile back.

Affy Tapple 3-pack caramel apples @ $3.49, Marzetti Apple dip @ $4.99 (you might get this today with a 3 lb. bag of apples and, if the BOGO is already active in your store, get both this deal and the "$2 off apples" deal at the same time. That would make two dips and 3 lbs. the cheap apples $6 I believe. Also, there's a $.75/1 in the October All You and various tearpad coupons for this), Dean's ice cream 1.5 qt., Chef's Kitchen frozen pizza @ $5.59.

BUY THIS, GET THAT and other special offers

Buy 4 participating General Mills cereals (Honey Nut Cheerios, Lucky Charms, Multigrain Cheerios, Kix, use $1/3 printable coupon or in the 10/3 General Mills insert) @ $2.50, get a coupon for a gallon of milk up to $3.75 value. Doesn't specify a brand this time.
(Multigrain Cheerios is also an item in the General Mills Catalina deal ending today, is that the same size? If so, you might be able to double dip on that, buying the cereals for the Catalina deal and also getting the milk coupon to print.)

Buy 2 Ragu sauce, get one free 12-16 oz. Jewel pasta select varieties and a free Redbox code. (you need an in-ad manufacturer's coupon for the free pasta)

Spend $10 on Coke 2L or Snyder's pretzels, get $2.50 instant savings. (The pretzels are $2.50 for 0-16 oz. packages, so the instant savings makes it 4/$7.50 or $1.88 each, a decent sale price.)

Buy 2 Hillshire Farm cocktail links, get 9 oz. tube of Jewel crescent rolls free. (If you didn't do the GM Catalina deal, obviously!)

Free 82-96 oz. Clorox bleach with purchase of any 32 oz. All detergent. Exp. 10/27. (The All is $3.99 at Jewel this week, and there's a $1/1 in the 9/26 RedPlum. If you still have an expired $2/1 which I can't remember where they came from, you might save both coupons to get a better deal next time the detergent goes on sale at Dominick's.)

$1/2 Coke 24-pack cans, full line (expires 10/27, but since you can use it after it expires at Dominick's, this is worth picking up extra flyers for, since Coke coupons are pretty rare. Then if Coke 24-packs go on sale for $5 or less at Dom's, you can stock up at an unheard-of $4.50 each or less.)

$3/10 Powerade or Powerade Zero

$1/1 Tropicana Pure Premium Orange Juice

$1/2 Nestle fun size candy bags, exp. 10/27 (pair it with the $1/2 from the 10/17 RedPlum)

$2/1 Cottonelle bath tissue 18-count double rolls

$2/1 Viva Paper Towels 6-ct. big rolls

$4/4 Kellogg's cereals select varieties
